CG/ LIVE-ACTION COMPOSITE - JAGUAR XKSS

This project was an exciting challenge where I got to bring a fully CG car to life and integrate it into live-action footage. From working on set to polishing every detail in post-production, it was all about crafting a realistic and immersive visual story.

Captured 360° HDRI images on location to make sure the CG car would reflect the lighting and environment perfectly. This step really set the foundation for making it feel real. Used Syntheyes to lock down incredibly accurate 3D camera tracking data, ensuring the CG car would match the movement of the live-action footage flawlessly. Managed footage workflows by converting from Log to ACES and Rec.709 color spaces, keeping the visuals cohesive and vibrant throughout the pipeline. Handled the car’s textures and added weathering effects through digital matte painting, giving it a lived-in, believable look. Brought everything together with meticulous compositing to make sure the CG car sat naturally in the scene as if it had always been there.

This project was a blend of technical precision and creative artistry, and it was so rewarding to see the CG car come to life on screen.
